World Watercolor Month was founded in 2016 by the creator of Doodlewash®, Charlie O’Shields, and it’s back in action in 2019!
The month of July is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of art and creativity all around the world. You can join the cause by simply creating art with watercolors everyday (or whenever you can) during the month of July.
If you’re up for the challenge of doing 31 watercolors in 31 days, you can follow the prompts below but whatever you make, make sure you share your work online with #WorldWatercolorMonth.

World Watercolor Month has also partnered with many organizations to make this event possible including The Dreaming Zebra Foundation.
The Dreaming Zebra Foundation is a charity that strives to give children and young adults an equal opportunity to express their creativity. The foundation provides a free art recycling program that supplies materials for art and education purposes to communities around the world.
Individuals and businesses can send in reusable art supplies or make a monetary donation at any time. The donation is tax deductible and supports art and music supplies for underprivileged artists.
