Disney Saves Me Money

Most college kids have grown up watching Disney movies, and we all love them for their songs, stories, and characters. As I grew older and more interested in art, though, I noticed the animation more. I realized how complex cartoon movie scenes can be to replicate. Even though I prefer to paint abstractly, I have been challenging myself to copy certain scenes in earlier Disney movies. I have done scenes from Winnie the Pooh, Fantasia, and The Aristocats, and they have taken me much longer to copy than I thought, due to the fact that while the characters are usually pretty simple to paint, the backgrounds are extremely complex. So, I’ve done a few scenes and usually give them out as gifts. I get to practice painting and save money, so everyone wins!
