Space is the Place

My roommate and friend, Sierra, is an elementary education major. I never realized just how much creativity is needed to set up space for children to learn in.

Sierra’s project is to set up a play area for kids with a theme, using as little money as possible while still creating a durable play area for them.

Sierra decided to use “outer space” as her theme. But the real challenge comes with creating a realistic looking space without spending much. It’s easy to go to the store and buy a solar system replica, it’s much more difficult to do it yourself!

Sierra decided to use fabric to create a space themed bulletin board, and use laminated paper to make hanging planets.

She’s super creative, so I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with!

I just think that it’s super cool that there really is art in everything! Even though we are on two different tracks, we still have art tying us together!
